The investment was led by Griffin Gaming Partners, one of the world’s largest venture capital firms focused on gaming. This financial boost is set to fuel the development of upcoming projects from the award-winning team behind the critically acclaimed ENDLESS series.
Founded in 2011 by former Ubisoft employees Romain de Waubert de Genlis and Mathieu Girard, Amplitude Studios has built a reputation for creating player-centered experiences. Their innovative use of platforms like Steam’s Early Access and the Games2Gether crowdsourcing tool has allowed fans to influence game design directly.
After being acquired by Sega Sammy Holdings in 2016, the studio operated under Sega Europe until regaining independence last year. This funding round signals a new chapter for Amplitude, enabling the team to focus on crafting high-quality strategy games hand-in-hand with their community.
